Magata, exclusive design by Alisa Leppala is for a woman with a distinct taste for a uniquely designed swimsuit, amazing fit, and outstanding quality. From the design process through production, Alisa is striving to be the new standard in women’s swim wear. She believes complete client satisfaction is the essential ingredient !
Alisa recognized the flare and excitement of Brazilian swimwear, but realized the cuts and the sizes were all wrong for American women. While Alisa is influenced by Brazil’s style, she maintains focus as an American designer.
Although Leppala did not attend a prestigious fashion design school, she credits her family for her strong understanding and eye for design. Stating, ‘I come from generations of home builders and architects, I guess this is my creative outlet’.
While pursuing a business degree, Alisa was a successful model -turned- designer who realized her passion for design - particularly swimwear. Alisa began working as a sales manager for an upscale retailer gaining knowledge while continuing an independent study and thoroughly researching design and production.
Being a Florida native, Alisa understands and appreciates the demand for fabulous swim wear. Both on the beach, and a night on the town. Therefore, when starting the design process, Alisa worked diligently to achieve an impressive fit with versatile designs. 2005 marked the beginning of many successful seasons to come.
